Greendog Academy was created with the intention of building a place where dogs are treated with patience, kindness and thoughtful guidance. What began as a simple idea is now becoming a space where dogs can stay, learn and spend time around people who genuinely care for them.
We are still in the early part of our journey and choose to grow carefully, holding onto one belief that guides everything we do.
Our approach is shaped by learning from experienced trainers across the world, using methods based on science and clear communication. This helps us understand what a dog is expressing and guide them in a way that feels safe and natural.
Our Team
Meet the Heart Behind Greendog
We believe that dogs respond best when met with patience, quiet observation and consistency. Instead of asking them to adjust quickly, we give them the time and space to settle naturally. This principle is reflected in how our entire team works.
At the heart of Greendog Academy is Shashank, who brings a calm and attentive approach to working with dogs.
He grew up in a musically inclined family and is an experienced flautist. Years of disciplined practice helped him develop a sensitivity to subtle patterns and behaviour, a skill that now supports how he understands dogs.
After completing his MBA, he chose to pursue his long-standing interest in canine behaviour. He furthered his learning in the United States at Tarheel Canine Training under several experienced professionals including Jerry Bradshaw, Derek Beckelman, Taylor Jones and Olivia Beckelman.
Their guidance deepened his understanding of structured training and the importance of clarity, consistency and thoughtful leadership.
What he brought back is not just technique but a mindset. At Greendog Academy, training and care are approached slowly and with respect for each dog’s pace and personality. Progress begins when a dog feels safe. Trust builds when interaction is clear.

Boarding
When a dog stays with us, the priority is to help them feel settled. We maintain a calm and predictable environment. Each dog stays separately to ensure safety and ease. Feeding, rest and activity are tailored to their needs.
Training
Our training follows science-based methods with a focus on clear communication. We work at the dog's pace, guiding them through steady steps. The objective is confidence and understanding, not quick results.
Play & Enrichment
Dogs benefit from movement, exploration and mental engagement. Our play area offers a safe space for this. Some dogs prefer active play while others are more comfortable with slow exploration. We allow them to choose.
